The Carmel girls tennis team moved to 6-0 on the season after cruising past No. 15 Zionsville 5-0 in a Thursday home match.
The top-ranked Greyhounds got easy singles victories from No. 1 Courtney Wild, No. 2 Mikaela Carlson and No. 3 Hayley Wild. No. 1 doubles Sarah Rodefeld and Susie Chen also won in straight sets, while No. 2 Olivia Trancik and Annika Carlson earned a three-set victory.
Carmel will host its own Invitational Saturday morning. The competition will be tough, as five additional ranked teams will participate: No. 7 Evansville Memorial, No. 11 Munster, No. 16 North Central, No. 17 Jasper and No. 19 Brebeuf Jesuit. Elkhart Central and Homestead will also be there.

Huskies move to 2-0 in MIC
Hamilton Heights improved its Mid-Indiana Conference record to 2-0 Thursday after beating North 4-1.
No. 1 singles Diane Silberberg and No. 2 doubles Mary Thomison and Sarah Huber each won straight-set matches, while No. 3 singles Ashley Hubbard and No. 1 doubles Mary Roper and Jordan Culverhouse toughed out three-set wins. The Huskies' overall record is now 2-1.

Westfield moved back to .500 after winning a 3-2 Hoosier Crossroads Conference dual meet at Avon Thursday.
The No. 30-ranked Shamrocks got a 6-0, 6-0 victory from No. 1 singles Courtney Ramey, with No. 2 singles Olivia Pursell and No. 2 doubles Tauley Montez and Valerie Brunso also winning their matches in straight sets.
Westfield is now 3-3 for the season, and will host Harrison on Tuesday.

Royals stay perfect
Hamilton Southeastern went to 6-0 on the season after defeating Brownsburg 4-1 in an away Hoosier Crossroads Conference match on Thursday.
The No. 9-ranked Royals got easy singles wins from No. 1 singles Carol Hsu, No. 2 singles Kristie Hsu and No. 3 singles Kelly Iden. No. 1 doubles Lina Goens and Stephanie Iden got a three-set victory.
"I was also very glad to Kelly Iden stepping back into singles and winning after playing doubles the last several matches," said HSE coach David Willingham. "She is not playing like a freshman."
The Royals will host two Lafayette HCC teams on Saturday. Southeastern plays McCutcheon at 9:30 a.m. and Harrison at 1:30 p.m.
